The Courtney Bed is a four-poster home hospital bed designed to be very sturdy and is constructed for a lifetime of use. The bed’s weight and low center of gravity have proved it to be extremely stable and our daughter has used her bed for over a decade without any incident.

* This bedroom furniture is created from select kiln-dried solid Maine oak, ash or maple hardwoods and is finished with a selection of colored stains and sealed with polyurethane.

* Our hardwood is typically plainsawn & quartersawn by our supplier. Quartersawn refers to a method of how the wood is cut that increases its stability and results in a beautifully distinctive grain pattern that is most often preferred by furniture makers & woodworkers.

* The Courtney Bed is held together with connector bolts, creating a very rugged bed framing capable of supporting 1000 pounds.

* The bed assembly can be taken apart for storage or to remove and replace the individual components. Two Allen wrenches are supplied to perform this task and no other tools are required.

* Unlike most pediatric hospital beds, the top of the Courtney Bed is completely open which allows children an opportunity to bounce up and down unrestricted.

* The design features of the Courtney Bed make it difficult for a child with PICA to mouth or bite the bed material.

* The inner compartment's four corners are padded for safety and the patented-design soft-sided panel material is supplied in a variety of colors .

* The Courtney Bed is sold equipped with an innerspring hospital mattress that has a washable surface.

* The Courtney Bed comes with a 2-year warranty.
